EASTER EGG SPECIMEN ART

A little late, I know, but cute!  I used an Easter Egg stamp set from Close to My Heart.  I used 30 eggs and attached them with foam squares on pale pink cardstock.  I love how they pop off the page.
The quote on the yellow egg was also in the stamp set.  I can't wait to update this with butterflies for spring!

TODAY

I realize I've neglected this blog, but that doesn't mean I've completed neglected crafting or cooking.  Here's a sneak peak at some projects that are in progress.  The first is a twin headboard (upside-down) that's getting painted black for Colton's room.  Problem:  we just found a queen-sized bed for his room!  Oh well....Asher or Kyler will enjoy it.  The next photo is a wooden tray that's just started it's red transformation.
This drawer came from an old kitchen island.  I can't wait to transform it into a much cuter tray.
The kitchen turned out completed projects!  I was missing my Papa, he's been gone 9 years now.  He taught me how to make apple pies when I was only 6 years old.   He handed me a paring knife and apples and told me to peel and slice them.  My kids are 16, 13 and 7 and the thought of handing any of them knives still scares me!  The only thing that made enjoying a slice of this pie better, memories of Papa.
Pork Roast with Roasted Red Potatoes = LOVE
At least to the men in my house!  This was their valentine from me.
I'm so thankful for friends with lemon trees!!!
Over 3 gallons of lemon juice so far this year.
 BBQ Chicken Pizza
 Chicken and Broccoli Braid.....DELISH!!!
 REALLY DELICIOUS!!!!
Cinnamon Rolls with a Real Cream Drizzle
 Lemon Meringue without the crust!
And finally....we had some deaths in 2011......my crock pot (from 1989) and our griddle (not pictured).  I'm happy to report that we've moved on and have a beautiful new crock pot (pictured below) and griddle.
Here's to completed projects!
